Girls Who Code

The Powell Makerspace has the privilege to host the Girls Who Code Club on Earlier Release Wednesdays.  This club is geared toward helping support girls and young women who are interested in the art of programming.  Facilitated by Joel Hayano, programming instructor and advisor for Powell High Robotics, the Girls Who Code Club is a local branch the larger nonprofit organization Girls Who Code with the single mission to close the gender gap in the technology.

The Girls Who Code Club meets each Wednesday that Park County School District #1 releases classes early.  Girls from grades 6 to 12 are more then welcome to join us.  If you have got your own laptop, you will want to be sure to bring it so your work stays with you.
